Book reviews

To find reviews of a book you need to know the year of publication. Use the library catalogue to check dates. If Monash does not hold the item use the 'Search other libraries' button and search other university or national libraries. Most books are reviewed a few months after publication . If you need a review of a book that is more than a year old, use one of the library databases listed below. If you need a review of a very recent book, browse a relevant reviewing journal or a journal containing many reviews, for example:

  • The Anthropology Review Database (ARD), is an extensive, and fully searchable, database of refereed reviews of anthropological books, audiovisual materials, software and multimedia, exhibits, tourist sites, conferences, and on-line resources.
