Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB), Transparency, the newsletter, is in PDF file. Other information includes publications, comments on exposure drafts and media releases.

Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (Australia)(AUASB): provides standards, interpretations, exposure drafts, media releases.

CPA Online (Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants) :provides standards and guidance to exposure drafts and media releases. Many of the components have restricted access to members only but includes a section for students.

Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) includes links to accounting related sites arranged by topic.

International Accounting Standards Board, some information restricted to members only.

International Federation of Accountants (IFAC): information on standards and guidance, exposure drafts, speech transcripts and articles.

General sites

AccountAbility focuses on the issues in social and ethical accounting and auditing.

Auditnet provides access to auditing related sites.

Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has links to many full text documents. Of particular interest is the information on company "Financial reporting" (link in the 2nd left column). The "searching and lodging" menu on the right column allows free searching for very basic company information. Detailed company information can be purchased for a fee.
