Supporting your teaching activities
These library services are exclusively for Monash University
teaching staff.
Arranging student access to course materials
Contact Readings and Reserve Services to
organise:
- creation of a web page of your reading list, linking to resources
(see example)
- digitisation of eligible course readings for web access (find
out more)
- placing special access conditions on popular items (eg in reserve
collection)
- arranging purchase of materials on your reading list - use 'acquisitions
request form' (doc 93kb)
Developing your students' information literacy skills
To develop an information literacy program for your students,
discuss your needs with your contact
librarian. The university regards information literacy (the
ability to effectively access and use information appropriately)
as one of the key attributes of
a Monash graduate.
Supporting new or changing courses with appropriate resources
New academic initiatives must include a 'Library Impact Statement'
(doc 56kb, rtf
102kb, pdf 150kb). Your contact
librarian can help you to prepare this document.
Recording lectures for access via the web
If you want your lectures recorded submit an online
request form, available from the Monash
University Lectures Online web site..
