Other academic libraries off-campus students may use

Victoria

All Monash University students may borrow from other Victorian academic and TAFE libraries through the CAVAL reciprocal borrowing scheme. Items in high demand may not be available for loan. Understand that local libraries, even academic ones, may not stock books or journals relevant to your area of study. Search, if there is one, the web based catalogue of the library you would like to use (check Libraries and library catalogues).

You may not be able to use electronic resources as licensing agreements usually restrict access to the staff and students enrolled in a specific university or college.

• to register use the CAVAL registration/enrolment form and fax or post it to Services for Off-campus Students
• you can also organise this by going in person to any of the Monash University Library branches during normal business hours. Please bring your Monash University ID card with you.
• to renew your card (annually) send the card back to Services for Off-campus Students. It will be returned to you once it is renewed.

Interstate

University Library Australia is the national borrowing scheme for staff and students of Australia's universities. These are the participating universities. Borrowing arrangements eg the number of books you may borrow, is at the discretion of each individual university. Libraries may apply a registration fee.

International

Overseas off-campus students may request a letter of introduction from us to use when enquiring about access to local libraries.
