Library users survey 2007
Who responded
In total,
3993 responses were received representing approximately 7% of the total
student and staff body. This is an above-average number of responses
compared to other participating university libraries. This number of
responses provides a high degree of confidence in the results. The confidence level based on the university population is 99%, +/- 3%. The number of responses received is under the 4133 respondents for the 2005 survey.
The library branch used most often by library clients is
the Sir Louis Matheson Library (Clayton), with 970 respondents
followed closely by Caulfield Library with 953 respondents.
The vast
majority of respondents were undergraduates (64.4%), followed by
postgraduates(26.6.%).
The best represented faculty is Business and Economics with 1055 respondents, followed by Arts with 726 respondents.
