Library users survey 2007

“Course-specific resources are easy to find and access”

What you said: What the Library is doing about it:
Importance: 6. 20/7
Performance: 5.05 /7
Gap: 1.15

“There needs to be a greater effort to digitise reading materials relevant to distance education courses. Many listed references are not digitised, and therefore impossible to access, unless you live across the road from a university library.”

“It will be great if the materials needed in specific courses are available through internet particularly for books that are in high demand.”

  • We are improving access to reading lists
We are continually investigating ways to improve access to reading lists which provide course specific material. Reading lists are kept on a separate web page and every effort is made to ensure that appropriate links to these lists are made from MUSO and my.monash.
  • We are reviewing our publications and help
We have undertaken a usability study of our library publications and help. As part of the usability study we will be reviewing our subject guides and other guides to ensure that we provide the best access to course specific resources. We are also constantly assessing the best use of technology such as RSS feeds to keep you up to date with new resources.

“We are constantly ensuring that we provide course-specific resources and make them readily available through my.monash portal and MUSO.”
