"More 'quick printing' terminals."

“integration of university print credit account with library printing services”

  • We are installing print express terminals
We have improved the photocopying and printing facilities radically over the last two years – all of our libraries have a minimum of two high volume printers each and in our busiest libraries four or five printers. We recognise the need to provide express printing facilities and have completed a trial at the Matheson and Law Library which will enable us to install quick print facilities in most of our libraries. We have also installed scanners to provide alternative methods of saving material on to a USB memory stick or your Novell space.
  • We have worked with ITS to provide a mechanism to transfer credit from the Library printing system to the ITS printing system
We are installing transfer terminals in the Hargrave-Andrew Library, Matheson Library and the Berwick Library and Learning Commons that will allow the transfer of credit from the Library printing system to the ITS counter facility as we are unable to offer a single print solution in the near future.

“Printing is constantly in demand and we are always investigating new ways to ensure that our printing facilities are efficient and can cope with the high volumes.”

Library Director, Central Services
