Library catalogue to be upgraded |
||
|
During the period 18-21 November the Library catalogue will be upgraded. Throughout this time the catalogue can be viewed but no requests or renewals can be made. Library users are advised to make hold requests before Friday 14 November as holds will not be processed during the upgrade. Staff with urgent Document Delivery requests should apply by email. Postgraduates can submit urgent requests via email with supervisor's approval. The Library apologises for any inconvenience that may be caused by this disruption to normal services. We are looking forward to implementation of the new catalogue software as it has been redesigned by the supplier to be easier for everyone to use. Focus group research led to improvements like a clearer results screen where it is simple to print or send by email a list of the items found; when looking in more detail at a particular book, an “Action Box” displays on the right, allowing the user to print or put in a loan request. Queries about the upgrade should be made to any Library service desk or by telephone +61 3 9905 5054 or 1800 331194 (toll free outside Melbourne). 12 November 2008 current news: 2008 : 2007 : 2006 : 2005 : 2004 : 2003 : 2002 : pre-2002 Need help?
