Women barristers in Victoria – display in Law Library |
||
| The Law Library hosted an exhibition from the Victoria Law Foundation, together with the Women Barristers Association, that charts the history of women barristers in Victoria from the early pioneers to the present day. The exhibition ran at the Law Library between Monday 22 October and Friday 9 November 2007. The images and anecdotes in the exhibition, from Joan Rosanove to some of the most senior women in the legal profession today, paint a picture of life at the Victorian Bar against a backdrop of milestones in women’s legal history. Since its launch during Law Week 2007 in May, the exhibition has been successfully touring Melbourne’s legal precinct and has received a lot of positive feedback from the legal community. 9 November 2007 current news: 2008 : 2007 : 2006 : 2005 : 2004 : 2003 : 2002 : pre-2002 Need help?
