Monash
University Past Exam Papers Database this week, just in time for the exam
period.
“Students view past exam papers to gain an understanding of what they might expect on their upcoming exams, and to get some practice,” said the library’s systems manager, Simon Huggard. “We get about 30 000 hits a day on the exam papers, and this can increase to up to around 130 000 just prior to exam time.” The extra past exam papers cover 416 units taught at Monash in almost every faculty, and add to the approximately 15,000 past exam papers already in the database. The official past exams that are sent to the library by the university’s examinations branch cover all Monash campuses, including overseas campuses and centres, as well as subjects taught by distance education, open learning and other Monash learning programs. “We are sent the papers, we make them into PDF’s and make them discoverable by searching our database,” said Mr Huggard. “We also make it easy to find past exams for particular units by making links to them appear in students’ unit pages on the my.monash portal.” Past exams for 147 units taught by the Faculty of Engineering, 92 units in Arts, 58 units in Business and Economics, 56 units in Information Technology, 45 in Science, a combined total of 35 for Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and Pharmacy faculties and 23 units taught by Faculty of Law have now been added. 6 October 2004 current news : 2007 : 2006 : 2005 : 2004 : 2003 : 2002 : pre-2002 Need help?
