New-look library website easier to use

Returning students and staff will notice a new look, easier to use library website online for 2004.

'The changes to the library website are designed to make library resources and services easier to discover,' said library web manager, Stephanie Foott.

A project to review and improve the library website commenced in early 2003 with the new look and navigation being the result of a year's intensive research and development, Ms Foott explained.

'We are responding to user feedback and a university-wide push to improve usability of Monash's web presence as well as keeping up with developments such as the new university identity and the introduction of a content management system.'

'Key pages have been transferred to the new look and the CMS and more will be migrated over the coming months.'

A useability study of the redeveloped site will be conducted in semester two.

Library users are invited to comment on the new site by emailing: library@lib.monash.edu.au
