Visiting and searching

Visiting

The collection and listening and viewing facilities can be accessed by visiting the Sir Louis Matheson Library during opening hours. View the Matheson Library floor plan to locate the collection.

Searching

To discover materials in the collection search the library catalogue. You are able to limit your search to particular formats:

  • Projected media (films, videos, DVDs and slides)
  • Electronic resources (CD-ROMs, diskettes and websites)
  • Printed music
  • Sound recordings
  • Kits

The catalogue will indicate whether the item you want is on open access in the Music and Multimedia Collection area or whether you will need to request to have it retrieved from closed access. To use materials on closed access, including the reserve collection, ask for assistance at the loans desk.

For details on loan conditions see borrowing.
