Obtain EndNote

If you decide to upgrade or this is your first installation of EndNote, it is provided here as a downloadable executable file. Steps 1 and 2 are only necessary if you are upgrading from a previous version of EndNote:

1. Backup style, import filters and connection files you wish to retain
2. Uninstall previous version. In Windows use 'Add or Remove programs'.
3. Install EndNote [current version]
4. Check for updates from endnote.com

For Monash University staff and students only. If you do not see and correctly complete a Monash Directory Service (authcate) username and password dialog box before selecting where to save the file your download will fail.

• Windows 2000 / XP / Vista version (63MB). Click the link, provide username and password and save to your computer
   
• Macintosh OS X version (93MB). Hold down Control, select Download Linked File, provide username and password and save to your computer.

Problem downloading the file?
Check that the file download is complete by checking the file size on your computer (compared with that listed above). Incomplete downloads will not install correctly.

Students, if downloading fails borrow an IT software for students - downloads 2010 CD from your branch library. Off-campus students can request a Software Downloads CD by submitting a request to the ITS Service Desk. For any technical issues with Endnote, including installation or troubleshooting, please see the EndNote Technical Support & Services pages.  Please note that the ITS Service Desks cannot offer any technical support for Endnote on either PCs or Macintoshes.
Staff, contact your faculty IT support to obtain a copy on CD-ROM (Windows or Macintosh).
