About this resource

The NPI database provides information on the types and amounts of pollutants being emitted to the air, land and water around Australia. It provides a list of substances with descriptions including their uses, their sources and health and environmental effects. Searches can be done by place, postcode, substance, source or facility. Emission data can be downloaded in a form suitable for loading into a spreadsheet or database-it is sent via email as a zipped tab delimited file.
