For students

Advisers provide drop-in sessions and classes and individual appointments for higher degree research (HDR) and other identified students. HDR students and students with an emailed referral or signed referral form should contact an adviser.

For staff

Staff should contact an adviser to discuss ways of incorporating skills development into their curriculum, and regarding suggestions or requests for new workshops and classes. Staff may also email advisers and refer a student who is in need of intensive support, or, give this signed referral form (doc 40kb; rtf 104kb; pdf 63kb) to the student to take to an adviser. If referring a student via email, you must copy the email to the student's official Monash email address and include the following information: the student's name; ID number; course / unit and campus; reason for referral (eg 'at risk', failed assignment / unit, marks withheld pending resubmission, etc) and area of need (eg academic writing, academic reading and note-taking, study skills / time management, oral presentation / communication skills, etc).
