Learning skills drop-in sessions and classes at Berwick Library and Learning Commons

Drop-in sessions

Drop-in sessions, open to all students, commence in week 2 and run through to week 14 at the following times in the Berwick Library and Learning Commons. No bookings are required for drop-in sessions:

  • Monday 11:00 - 12:00
  • Tuesday 3:00 - 4:00
  • Friday 11:00 - 1:00

Workshop descriptions

  • Time management
    Too much to do? Not enough time? Learn some strategies for organising your busy life
  • Presentation skills
    Improve your skills and build confidence so that you give well-structured, informative and engaging presentations.
  • Working in groups
    Some basic techniques for making your group work rewarding and enjoyable.
  • Referencing
    Learn how to write in-text citations and a reference list or bibliography.
  • Presentation skills
    Structure and deliver your presentation effectively and with confidence.
  • Academic style
    Learn a few simple techniques to give your assignments and essays that academic writing style.
  • End-of-text referencing
    Learn how to write and correctly format a bibliography or list of references.
